ISLAMIC IDEOLOGY

Islamic Ideology is an ideal & complete philosophy of life which solves all the fundamental problems of human life; it shows man the right path, gives him a true vision & helps to shape his life on moderate lines through a complete code of life, it has at its disposal. It gives what a man requires to live in this world & to prepare himself for the Hereafter. Islamic ideology considers the social, political & economic aspects of life in consonance with the spiritual & moral ends as preached by Islam. It advocates & insists upon both individual reforms & self discipline through belief in Allah & the Hereafter.

Islamic Ideology means the way of thought & the civic line of action which is approved of & recommended by Islam. It guides all aspects of life in the light of its system of thought; it brings all aspects of life nearer to one another so much so that they become a unity. The line of thought & action as enjoined by Islam is a sufficient guide of man in shaping his individual & social life. The beliefs & the line of action prescribed by Islam, when put in one may be termed as Islamic ideology.

Some basic characteristics of Islamic Ideology:

Islamic ideology is a reformatory movement in the sense that its purpose is to establish good & stop evil. It is revolutionary in the sense that it can face the challenge of all secular ideologies of the modern times : it sums up in itself all the virtues of all these ideologies & is free from anyone of the evils infesting them. It is found in the same position today as it was when Hazrat Muhammad(P.B.U.H) preached it in Arabia, it will remain in the same condition till the Last Day.

Islam is the continuation & culmination of all the preceding revealed religions & hence it is for all times & all mankind. There are two facts which can't be changed

1. There is no other revealed Book extent in the same form & content as it was revealed
2. No other religion has any convincing claims to provide guidance in all walks of human life for all times.

2. Complete code of life
3. Balance between individual and collectivism
4. Unity of matter and spirit
5. Simplicity, Rationalism & Practicalism
6. Universatility & Humanism
7. An ideal economic system
8. Complete record of teachings preserved

Conclusion:

These are some of the unique features of Islam which establish its credentials as the religion of man-the religion of today & tomorrow. These aspects have appealed to hundreds of thousands of people in the past & the present & have made them affirm that Islam is the religion of truth & the right path for mankind & this will continue to appeal to them in the future. Men with pure hearts & sincere longing for truth will always continue to say:

" I affirm that there is none worthy of

worship except Allah, that He is One,

sharing His authority with no one and

I affirm that Muhammad(P.B.U.H) is

His servant & His Prophet."
